Sports Camps on Thursdays Campers will receive skill instruction, character development, and game experience in a Christian environment that will help them grow physically, socially, and spiritually. Angels Academy will be offering Elementary & Junior High Sports camps for Home School students for the 2006-07 school year at Angels Arena located on the Maude Carpenter Children’s Home Campus. For More Information, click here Spring Sports Schedule Baseball Camp Baseball Camp begins on March 27th. Ages 6-10 are at 1pm and ages 11-16 are at 2pm. The camp will be held at the West Side Athletic Fields on McLean between Meridian & Seneca. In the event of bad weather, we will play indoors at Maude Carpenter. Track We will have an elementary Track Camp on April 25th and our Track & Field Day will be (it has been rescheduled due to a conflict) on May 9th at the Angels Arena located at 1501 N. Meridian. The Camp will be from 9:30am to Noon on April 25th. At the camp, the students will learn how to Triple Jump, Long Jump, High Jump, run with proper running form, start a race, and how to throw for distance. The Track & Field Day will begin at 9:30am on May 9th and will have the following events: 40 Yard Dash 100 Yard Dash 440 Yard Run 1 Mile Run High Jump Long Jump Triple Jump Softball Throw We will also have a Gunny Sack Race, a Bike Race, and Three Legged Race! The Cost for the Track & Field Day and Camp will be $10 per athlete or $8 per athlete if your child is in Angels Academy PE classes. Sign up by April 15th and receive an additional $1 off! Tennis We will have a 4 week Tennis Camp beginning on May 1st and going to May 22nd on Thursday’s from 1-3pm for ages 8-16. The cost for the camp is: $25 and the camp will be at the Ralph Wultz Riverside Tennis Center. The final class is Tuesday, May 6th. 10:00am Ages 3-5 PE $40 11:00am Ages 6-8 PE $40 12:15pm Ages 9-11 PE $40 1:15pm Ages 12-16 PE $40 Class Descriptions: PE All PE classes teach students about strength & conditioning, flexibility, health, and skills for kicking, throwing, catching, running, jumping, and hitting a ball. PE classes also teach teamwork, rules for different sports, and strategies of the game! Dodgeball PE Because of the popularity of Dodgeball, we will have Dodgeball PE on May 13th and May 20th. The Clinic will teach Basketball Fundamentals through fun drills and friendly competition. The Camp will teach Shooting, Passing, Dribbling, Footwork, and Offensive Moves.
